With the rising cost of education, many students are now looking for credit financing to help them settle their fee balances and also for their general upkeep. Some students also have bad credit but much to their relief, some lenders now offer personal loans for students with bad credit where you will get the cash irrespective of your credit score. However, these loans are a bit expensive and one should make proper considerations before signing the loan documents.
Considerations to make when applying for the loans

Question by Kailyn Q: Which student loan lenders don’t require school certification?
Which student loan lenders don’t require school certification?
Thank you.
Uh, my school is completely legal. I just need more money for living expenses than my current bank is willing to give me. Schools that require school certification will give cost of attendance, well my school sets that at 3k. You try paying tuition, books (over 3k itself) and then trying to pay bills or even buy pencils!
By the way, I don’t think you understand what loan school certification is. They just call up the school to see who is enrolled for what and then approve the amount that tuition is for the school on average.

Question by TJ A: I’m looking for student lenders that would give me a loan to West Visayas State University?
I am trying to study at the West Visayas State University as well as attend language school in the Philppines, but I can’t find lender who can help me. Nobody seems to do business with Philppine universities. Does anyone know of a lender who give student loans to US citizens planning to study abroad in the Philippines, at the West Visayas State University.

Question by Welcome Isabella! March 30!: Are there any other student loan lenders like Astrive?
My hubby is in school full time and he gets his student loans for tuition and such through Sallie Mae but Astrive is a lender for other expenses while you are in school such as rent and bills. The money he gets through Astrive comes directly to us for our use. Anyway, Astrive is not giving loans at this time and we really need that money. Are there any other lenders out there like this?
No, he tried getting it through Sallie Mae but they only give the personal student loans to people in junior college.

Question by miyoshi82: With the economy at its worst, what are student loan lenders doing about this?
I’m assuming lenders like Sallie Mae should know that the payments are slowly coming in than usual due to the fact that people are getting laid off and jobs are scarce.
Now I have $ 25,000 in student loans. I’ve gone into deferrment for now since I’m only taking one class right now while I look for a job that I can start saving up to pay off my student loans.

Question by Girl S: Where would I find out student loan lenders that loan to non-degree seeking students?
I took some classes this summer for Teacher certification and my loan fell through b/c I was a non-degree seeking student. So I was told to look for private lenders instead who would do a back loan since I’m finished with the classes.

I have a very average credit score, 689 I believe. I have some negative history on my credit report. My wife passed away in 2003. In 2005 I had a stroke and was hospitalized for a long period of time, became severely depressed and was in rehab for several months. . While I was still in rehab I wasn’t sure if I would ever work, and actually applied for SS disability. When it came down to finally ruling on the disability I elected not to go thru with that as I was getting better and felt I could return to work. Unfortunately I let my concern about paying off my credit card accounts get the best of me and I utilized a well advertised credit service to settle my accounts. Some I paid off in full but I have some charge offs on my credit report.
I am a self employed medical professional. I have a contract with a local hospital and my gross income is around $340K annually. I have an outstanding loan for a vehicle and some small student loans for my oldest daughters college education. I have no current mortgage, as I recent sold the house I own in another city.
